Its regular customers are involved in a petty feud with the patrons of The Golden Cock, the other tavern situated within the castle.
It is uncertain when the disagreement between the two taverns in Cornfield began, but it is commonly believed that it has existed since their near simultaneous openings shortly after the construction of the castle. According to the tale, two friends both decided to construct an inn within the castle walls, unbeknownst to the other, creating rivalry. Although the enmity has persisted over the years, conflicts are largely petty, aiming to inconvenience and irritate rather than harm.
Patrons of The Blue Bird most commonly target their rivals by scrawling large phallic drawings over the sign of The Golden Cock, much to their own amusement.
