Saathos Naharis is the current commander of the Stormcrows, a sellsword organisation. He believes himself to be the great-grandchild of Daenerys Targaryen.

Biography[]

Claiming to be a trueborn great-grandchild of Daario Naharis and Daenerys Targaryen, Saathos boasts that he is the rightful ruler of Westeros, and that Aegon VI was in fact a pretender to the title.

During Daenerys' invasion of Westeros, Saathos would believe she gave birth to an infant son days before her assassination; his grandfather. He would also say that Daario himself escaped the flames of her burning camp with the newborn in his arms along with the fragments of the remaining Stormcrows. However all this is speculation, and no actual records exist of Daario surviving.

Saathos' father was raised in Tyrosh, and eventually came into a position of power in the Stormcrows, and thus spent most of his life returning them to their former strength and numbers. Now he is dead, but his dream of returning to his birthplace as a king is not, and lives on through Saathos. He himself was raised on the road, with little time to form friendships besides those who traveled with the company, one such being Illyrio, another child of one of the Stormcrows officers. The two quickly became friends, and spent much time sparring with training swords and on occasion live steel daggers. He was also taught the rules and strategies of cyvasse by a wandering maester, whom was exiled from Westeros due to his forbidden practices. The maester named Preston, ended up staying with the company, and Saathos began learning various other skills under his tutelage.

He has taken the leadership of the Stormcrows in the last decade and has led them on various jobs throughout Essos, accumulating a fair bit of wealth in the process. He was forced to use guerrilla tactics at most times to bring success due to their small numbers opposing a more sizable force, and thus became acquainted with covert warfare. Many of these excursions brought to him noteworthy retainers and their loyalties, such as that of Ballabar and Khrazz, whom he liberated from the Fighting Pits of Mereen after seeing their prowess, as well as that of his lover Talea, whom was the victim of a shipwreck off the coast of Lys. Saathos led the excursion out to sea himself in a rowboat despite vicious waters and managed to bring her along with a few others back to shore.

But now the time has come for a crown to be atop his head. Upon his son Denyo's birth, Saathos pledged that he will succeed where his father had failed, and both he and Denyo shall sit atop the Iron Throne.
