Daven is the second son to Lord Kevin Crakehall and Lady Jeyne Swyft.
Daven spent much of his youth in the woods near his father's castle. He hunted, rode, and played childish games with his siblings.
In 380AC Daven participated in the tourney of Oldtown, where he rode against The Kingsguard, Ser Godwyn Strong. It was a closer match than some thought, but the favourite Godwyn Strong was able to earn a victory in sudden death after eight passes.
Daven was sent by his father, Lord Kevan, to squire for 'King' Aegor in the Seventh moon of 380 AC.
He, like his brother, has not yet been knighted.
